Meet Kate

Kate Wong, MDiv, RP

As a therapist, Kate has worked in various children's mental health agencies, adult addiction services, and private practice settings throughout the GTA since 2016. Most of her current practice includes working with children and young adults facing mental health and family issues.

What can she help with?

​She specializes in helping children, youth, young adults, parents, and families to effectively address concerns related to symptoms of anxiety, OCD,  depression, post-traumatic stress, parent-child conflict, suicidal ideation, self-harming behaviours, and other behavioural / relational challenges. 

Therapeutic Approach

She considers the therapeutic process to be a collaborative and for a season of time. She typically draws upon a client's interests and strengths while incorproating evidence-based practices from a range of therapeutic modalities depending on a client's specific needs, situation, and hopes for therapy. This could include elements of body-based and relational approaches, CBT and DBT therapies, narrative therapy, and trauma-focused therapy.
