Therapy Rates

Therapy is a meaningful investment in your well-being and happiness. Everyone’s journey is unique, so the number of sessions and length of treatment will be tailored to you. We’ll talk through a recommended plan together during your first assessment session.

Sometimes, your therapist might offer take-home materials, articles, or simple practices to support your progress between sessions. Most importantly, we’re here to support your goals — and we’ll never keep you in therapy longer than you want or need.

 

Session​ are set in accordance with the guidelines provided by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). Your initial 15-minute phone consultation is free of charge. Here, we will listen attentively to your situation, assess your needs, discuss our rates, and answer any questions / concerns you may have.

We welcome and encourage frank and open discussions with us about our fees to ensure we manage your care in the best way possible. Our services are covered by most extended benefit insurance plans.

Insurance

Insurance providers may cover our fees completely or partially. This depends on your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Contact your insurer directly with these specific questions for clarity about your specific coverage:

  • Does my plan include mental health benefits?

  • If so, how much do you cover for registered social work, psychotherapy and psychology services?

  • What professional designation must my service providers have? (The most common are Registered Psychologist, Registered Psychotherapist, or Registered Social Worker)

  • How do I submit receipts?

  • How long will reimbursement take?

Payment & Receipts

Scarborough Psychotherapy Services accepts all major credit cards and e-transfers as forms of payment. Your receipt will clearly indicate the name of the therapist, along with their professional designation and license number, as required by insurance companies.  

Cancellation Policy

When you cannot make an appointment, we require at least 24-hours' notice. The full rate of the session applies for short notice of cancellation.
